On the lack of sleep, consequences thereof
I have been going to bed late at night. Between 1am and 2:30am. And getting up at 7:30am. Oh dear! And it is to do with reading up on how to run a web site so as to make some extra money. I had the latest night on Wednesday night and thus was rather bleary-eyed on Thursday morning. And I felt a tickle in my throat, enough to take some extra vitamin C to kill off the bugs.
Thursday night was also late "only 1:30am" and I felt that tickle in the throat again! More vitamin C plus some E to handle that throat.
But it did not handle! So! Now to the herbal remedy! My melaleuca tea. This is really good as it seems to attack whatever seems to going wrong! You have to drink a few gallons but the earlier you start the better. Well I am a bit late in starting!
However, I can feel it working.
I have found that the Melaleuca tea is best taken when it has cooled down. When in fact it is cold. Hot is OK, but cold is really great!
Now another side effect is that the body starts to go awry. The digestive system is disturbed an the "Irritable Bowel Syndrome" sets in. And it is a rather embarrasing time as the stomach roils and you head for the bathroom at rather frequent intervals. But this was solved by drinking more water than usual and increasing the greenery I ate. ie more cabbage and more lettuce.
The sleep is not enough to be fully alert. I noticed being tired by about 4pm and made mistakes while working on the computer. This is a marked difference from the times when I have had plenty of sleep.
Another symptom of the lack of sleep was a feeling of being off balance. It was momentary, but caused alarm as for an instant I thought I was about to fall over.
from this I conclude it is better to get enough sleep each night so that your body is more functional. It is fine to do the odd late night, but not do this as a habit. I well recall a time when I was getting 4 hours a night over a 2 week peiod while put in a security system in a large building. I would be standing on a ladder putting a wire into a connector and would wake up next moment frozen in the act of inserting the wire. While eating meals during that time, it seemed to be a daze of numbness and a sluggish movement in doing anything. To be honest, I got the idea it would have been better to get more sleep and thus have gained those hours by performing the work in a perfect awareness of what one was doing rather than in a fog!
That is all for now.
See you later!
